SandAxe technology for fixing weakly cemented rock and protection against removal of mechanical impurities.
Purpose
SandAxe is used as a reagent designed to extract sand from a reservoir with minimal reduction in productivity of oil, gas, and gas condensate wells. Prevents the destruction of the bottom-hole zone of the formation. It lacks a lot of the main problems of chemical methods of protection against sand leaching.
Mechanism of action
Reagent molecule contains hydrolyzable residual groups. Upon contact with reservoir water (interstratial water), there occurs functional groups change from silane to silanol. These modified groups form primary chemical bonds with the grains of sand, which leads to the formation of a flexible viscoelastic mesh within the aqueous phase.

Advantages
- Significant increase in the between-repairs period and operating time of downhole equipment for failure;
- Reduces the loading of mechanical impurities from the reservoir;
- Has strong adhesion in the bottomhole zone of the reservoir;
- Completely inert and soluble in hydrocarbons. Inert to acids;
- Short period of well downtime and commissioning without complications;
- Simple application process;
- Reservoir bonding with minimal loss of permeability;
- Viscoelastic composition. It does not break at high depressions;
- The chemical composition penetrates into the reservoir to a depth of 1 meter or more;
- Suitable for reservoirs with temperatures above 10°C and without upper threshold limit;
- Prevents rock destruction;
- The use of chemical compounds simultaneously with mechanical protective equipment significantly increases their service life.
Application technology
- Anchoring the bottomhole formation zone (KPZP) design provision;
- Works supervision;
- Turnkey work;
- The minimum amount of chemical composition. From 4% to 8% in drilling solution with UV.
Application experience
- The technology has successfully proven itself and successfully used for more than 10 years in the Russian Federation
- More than 140 treated boreholes in Western Siberia.
Restriction of water supply
Technology based on SNPH-9110 reagent
Purpose
The reagent is designed to regulate reservoir coverage by limiting the water intake of producing wells.
Technology description
When the reservoir is treated with the SNPH-9110 reagent, the oil recovery coefficient increases due to the redistribution of flows in the sublayers by reducing the filtration and capacitance characteristics of permeable intervals and including low-permeability zones in the operation.
Advantages
- Preservation of reservoir collecting properties of a productive reservoir.
- The well will be operational as soon as possible, without loss of oil, with a possible reduction in watercut.
