Carrying out research and development activity
Union of Scientific and Industrial Chemistry JSC carries out all kinds of research and development (R&D), from scientific research to the production of prototypes of products. As a result of the applied R&D, manufacturing of new types of products is being mastered and new technology is being implemented.
Results
Since the establishment of the MUN and R&D Department (R&D group), the following R&D activities have been carried out with positive results:
1. Development of equipment for producing of shock waves impact in liquid media on the bottomhole zone of an oil reservoir during major repairs of wells in order to intensify oil production.
The work was carried out within the framework of an agreement between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and SNPH JSC. The equipment has been developed as part of the project to provide shock wave impact in liquid media. The purpose of the developed equipment is to affect the bottomhole zone of an oil reservoir during major well repairs in order to intensify oil production. Shock wave equipment with the following characteristics was developed and tested as part of the R&D:

Characteristics of the borehole tool:
- Energy of a single pulse, J, not less than 400
- Duration of a single pulse, 5-10 mc sec
- Time between pulses, 2 sec
- Power supply: three-phase voltage 380 V, 50/60 Hz
- Power consumption, kW, not more than 5
Operating conditions (ground equipment)
- Temperature, °C from + 5 to +30
- Relative humidity, %, not more than 90 (+25 °C)
Operating conditions (borehole tool)
- Temperature, °C from + 5 to +75
- Hydrostatic pressure from 0.5 to 20 MPa
2. Investigating the possibility of using an innovative reagent in the oil fields of Tatarstan.
The work was carried out in accordance with the Schedule under the Agreement between the Foundation of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Non-profit Organization and NIIneftepromchim JSC.
3. Assessment of the possibility of using the innovative reagent in the oil fields of the Republic of Tatarstan. The present report is based on the results of tests of the innovative reagent conducted under the Agreement between the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan State Scientific Budgetary Institution and NIIneftepromchim JSC.
4. Development of oilfield equipment resistant to acid compositions for the intensification of oil production of wells with horizontal termination by the physical and chemical method.
5. Analysis of the core material, determination of the compatibility of the applied well killing fluids and selection of the acid composition for the treatment of the bottomhole zone of wells in order for increasing the filtration characteristics, engineering and methodological support for pilot industrial works on the treatment of the bottomhole zone of wells with recommended acid compositions.
